Seattle DUI Attorney

DUI Verdict
You need a lawyer board certified in DUI defense.*

Washington DUI/physical control laws are among the toughest in the United States. You need a Seattle DUI attorney who specializes in DUI defense - a DUI attorney at the cutting edge of the latest challenges to current law, breath tests, blood tests, and evidentiary issues. Simply put, you need an attorney board certified in DUI defense.*

I have been an attorney to those accused of DUIs for most of my 20 plus year career in the law, first as a public defender and since ’91 in my Seattle area private practice. I am one of the founding members of the National College for DUI Defense, and also one of the first Seattle attorneys in the nation to be Board Certified in DUI defense by that organization.* I am one of only 3 lawyers so certified in Washington currently.

The Department of Licensing (DOL) will suspend your license administratively if you are an adult arrested for DUI (or physical control) and have a breath or blood test result of .08 or higher; or if you are under age 21 and your test result is .02 or higher. Your drivers license will be revoked for at least one year if you refuse testing. You have a right to a hearing if you request it within 20 days of arrest, so contact me as soon as possible to get this process started.

A DUI or Physical Control conviction will trigger mandatory jail time, loss of license, 3 years of high risk insurance, up to 5 years of probation, no driving without an Ignition Interlock Device for at least one year, possible electronic home detention, and you will be barred from Canada!
